Von der ersten Idee bis zum fertigen Spritzgussteil – zusammen mit der Pikkerton GmbH.
Für die Firma pikkerton aus Berlin gestalteten wir den smarten Instamon Sturzsensors. Das Produkt ersetzt den herkömmlichen Lichtschalter und ergänzt ihn um zahlreiche AAL (Altersgerechte Assistenzsysteme für ein selbstbestimmtes Leben) Funktionen – eine berührungslose Sturzerkennung, Hilferuf bei ausbleibender Aktivität über Sprach- bzw. SMS Benachrichtigung, Nachtlicht….
Die Herausforderung bestand darin sämtliche Komponenten in eine Installationsdose nach DIN 49200 unterzubringen und sämtliche Schnittstellen optimal zu positionieren.
In enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Elektronikentwicklern haben wir den Produktentwicklungsprozess von Anfang an begleitet: Vom ersten Gestaltungskonzept über die Packageoptimierung und die Spritzgussgerechte Konstruktion bis hin zur Produktionsvorbereitung.
Der Instamon Sturzsensor wurde mit dem Deep Tech Award 2015 ausgezeichnet.

GrannyGuard – AAL Sensor for pikkerton
Berlin based brand pikkerton commissioned us to design their smart Instamon fall-sensor. The product replaces conventional lightswitches and adds smart AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) functionality – contact-free fall sensing, Emergency call in case of absence of activity via voice- or text messaging, night- light…
The challenge was to fit all components into a standard installation socket according to DIN 49200 and to optimize the positioning of all interfaces. In close collaboration with hardware engineers, we supported the product development process from the first sketch, the conceptual design and package studies and optimization to designing for injection moulding and preparation of production.
The Instamon Sensor was awarded the Deep Tech Award 2015.
